Vacuum cleaners

„Vacuum cleaner“ serie by Daniel Steiniger.
In his project Still Life with Vacuum Cleaners, Daniel turns his attention to one of the most overlooked icons of domestic life — the vacuum cleaner. Ubiquitous and unremarkable, these objects embody the aesthetics and aspirations of modernity: sleek, aerodynamic, and polished like futuristic machines or miniature sports cars.
By isolating them from their usual context, the artist reveals their silent presence within the home — objects designed to restore order and cleanliness, only to be pushed aside and forgotten once their function is complete. In Apartamento, his work repositions these familiar appliances as sculptural and symbolic forms, inviting viewers to reconsider the emotional and aesthetic charge of the everyday.
What we normally overlook becomes a mirror of our relationship with comfort, technology, and the invisible labor that sustains domestic life.
